About The Position

The Wood Moulder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining wood moulding equipment to produce high-quality wood products according to company specifications and production schedules. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, machine efficiency, and workplace safety.

Requirements

Ability to read tape measures, production specifications, and work orders.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to wood dust, noise, and moving machinery.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing or woodworking experience preferred.
Experience operating wood moulders or similar industrial equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate wood moulder machinery in accordance with production requirements.
Verify material specifications and ensure correct wood species and dimensions are used.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Inspect finished products for defects, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
Maintain production records and document completed work orders.
Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of lumber as needed.
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies.
Keep work area organized and maintain housekeeping standards.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
