About The Position

Under the supervision of the Finishing Manager, the incumbent is primarily responsible for ensuring that the customer’s quality and productivity standards are met. This role involves performing finishing work within a spray booth, including color mixtures and matches to product and production specifications, applying wood finishes, stains, colors, and textures, and preparing products by sanding, repairing, and conditioning wood for priming, staining, painting, and finishing. The Wood Finisher also operates various sanding, wood cutting, and drilling machines.

Requirements

Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

Performs finishing work within spray booth
Performs color mixtures and color matches to product and production specifications
Applies wood finishes, stains, colors and textures
Performs all necessary product preparation work by sanding, repairing and conditioning wood for priming, staining, painting, and finishing
Operates various sanding, wood cutting, and drilling machines
