Women's Health Provider - WHNP, FNP, PA, CNM
About The Position
Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH) is seeking a motivated and independent women’s health practitioner to be the sole women’s health clinician in Graham County, NC. This role requires confidence in independently providing a spectrum of women’s health services due to the distance to the nearest OBGYN practice or labor and delivery unit. The clinician will provide reproductive, contraceptive, preventative health, and menopausal services to an established patient panel. This is a collaborative role within a team of local clinic providers and a regional network including primary care, psychiatric, behavioral health, dental, pediatric, and community medicine care. The position does not require call, hospital privileges, or rounding. A daily patient load is capped at 15.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Unencumbered North Carolina medical license
- CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Capacity to function independently
- High degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision making
- Demonstrable skills in women’s healthcare
- Interest in moving to the region for a minimum of two years
- Background Check and Drug Screen Required
