Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner for Mansfield, TX
About The Position
Methodist Medical Group is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join their OBGYN clinic in Mansfield, Texas. This full-time position focuses on providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families throughout their reproductive journey. The clinic is community-focused and dedicated to empowering individuals through education and personalized support. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care from adolescence through menopause, with an emphasis on pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support. This role offers a collaborative environment focused on positive birth outcomes and women's health advocacy.
Requirements
- Completion of a WHNP program, board certification
- Current, unencumbered licensure as a WHNP in the State of Texas or eligibility for licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Nice To Haves
- IUD insertion and removals (willing to train)
- Experience with Epic
- Bilingual in Spanish
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and individualized care plans.
- Assist in managing prenatal patients in collaboration with the OB/GYN physician.
- Conduct well-woman exams, family planning counseling, and gynecological care.
- Educate patients and their families on various health topics, including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and women's health.
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, initiating appropriate interventions and seeking consultation when necessary.
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
