About The Position

Tanner Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, to help launch and grow a new menopause-focused care program based in Carrollton, GA. The APP will provide comprehensive care to women experiencing perimenopause or menopause-related concerns, including patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Care will be delivered from a medical office setting, in accordance with state licensure laws and under the supervision of OB/GYN physicians. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including OB/GYN practices, behavioral health providers, hospital departments, and community agencies, to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Completed Master of Nursing with specialization in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Six months of related experience
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain a Georgia Nurse Practitioner License
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain a Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner
  • Currently hold or be eager to obtain a Certification with The Menopause Society, which is required
  • Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public events.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Georgia
  • Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner (MSN) or Physician Assistant training.
  • Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians
  • Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria.
  • Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patients, hospital and/or other physicians.
  • Georgia Nurse Practitioner License
  • Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR)
  • Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner training (MSN).
  • Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS recommended.
  • ACLS recommended.
  • Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS)
  • Prior experience in a like specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to women experiencing perimenopause or menopause-related concerns, including patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Deliver care in a medical office setting, in accordance with state licensure laws and under the supervision of OB/GYN physicians.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including OB/GYN practices, behavioral health providers, hospital departments, and community agencies, to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
  • Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and management regarding service recovery opportunities.
  • Works together with other team members to achieve Office and System customer service goals.
  • Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties.
  • Participates in continuing education.
  • Participates in the development of new programs (ex: Process Improvement, Quality Initiatives).
  • Performs evaluations, provide treatment and counsel patients.
  • Order and interpret test results and recommend treatment of patients.
  • Administer therapeutic procedures.
  • Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
  • Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or complicated medical procedures.
  • Demonstrates specialty and population specific competencies.
  • Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate based on specific specialty and population.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising physician.
  • Maintains evidence based medical care and clinical charting.
  • Participates with clinical tracking and feedback.
  • Integrates with clinical and administrative teams to administer high quality care.
  • Works well with others and functions as a team player.
  • Offers ideas and solutions for issues that affect the team and work area.
  • Participates in the training and skills development of new clinical staff.
  • Assists as needed.
  • Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program.
  • Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.
