About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Certified Nurse-Midwife to join a highly desirable and growing consultative Maternal Fetal Medicine practice. The role involves providing advanced health assessment and full prenatal care for high-risk OB patients, evaluating pregnancy complications, performing limited OB ultrasounds, and co-managing diabetes during the antepartum period, either independently or in collaboration with a supervising physician. Responsibilities also include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, triaging prescription calls, and participating in patient and family counseling and education. The position requires interaction and communication with referring providers and other patient care team members. This role is based in our clinic in The Woodlands, with some travel to satellite clinics.

Requirements

Current APRN national specialty certification
Minimum of a master’s degree

Responsibilities

Providing advanced health assessment and full prenatal care on high-risk OB patients
Evaluating complications of pregnancy
Performing limited OB ultrasound
Diabetes co-management during antepartum period, independently or collaboratively with the supervising physician
Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests
Triage calls for prescriptions
Participating in the patient and family counseling/education process
Interacting and communicating with referring providers and other patient care team members
