About The Position

This position involves assisting in the coaching and management of a women's basketball program, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, Lone Star Conference, and institutional rules. The role includes recruiting student-athletes, managing budgets, developing training programs, and performing other duties as assigned. The position requires frequent travel and adaptability to various conditions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of NCAA, Lone Star Conference and institutional rules, standards, regulations, and requirements.
• Ability to recruit domestic and international students.
• Proficiency in overseeing and updating an international recruiting platform.
• Skills in teaching basketball principles, practices, techniques, methods, and rules.
• Budget management and business plan development skills.
• Ability to develop safe and effective training and practice programs.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in varying climatic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable NCAA, Lone Star Conference and institutional rules, standards, regulations, and requirements.
• Recruit domestic and international students.
• Oversee, update, and educate staff as it relates to the athletic department’s international recruiting platform.
• Assist in teaching the principles, practices, techniques, methods, and rules of basketball.
• Assist in managing the budget while developing a business plan of yearly revenues and expenditures.
• Develop safe and effective training and practice programs for student-athletes.
• Work in an environment subject to frequent travel with exposure to varying climatic conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
