Emory Healthcare is seeking a RN Clinician with a strong background in wound, ostomy, and continence (W.O.C) care. This role supports a strong, unified WOC team that partners collaboratively with departments to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. The RN Clinician is an integral member of interprofessional teams across hospital and clinic settings, committed to delivering outstanding patient care. This position directs agency-wide initiatives for pressure ulcer prevention, wound care and ostomy care, including supporting pressure ulcer prevalence data collection, evidence-based policies, procedures, and protocols, and advisement of appropriate support surfaces, products, and staff decision-making algorithms. The role also involves developing and conducting educational programs and clinical instruction for Emory Healthcare staff and students enrolled in Emory University's Wound Ostomy Continence Education Program. Additionally, the RN Clinician provides advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff regarding the management of complex wounds, fistulas, moisture management, and pressure ulcers. They determine appropriate nursing interventions, recommend necessary equipment and resources, perform pre-operative stoma site marking and ostomy education, and develop post-operative ostomy education and care plans for patients and families.
