About The Position

Clay County Public Health is seeking a Full-Time Withdrawal Management/Detox Manager. This exempt position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities during some evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hiring salary ranges from $85,488.00 to $88,774.40, negotiable based on experience and qualifications, with a full salary range of $85,488.00 to $121,659.20. The role is eligible for Clay County’s benefit package and offers opportunities for career development and personal growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in health care administration, behavioral health, substance use treatment, public health or closely related field.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Motivational interviewing and de-escalation training (or ability to obtain).
  • Must be free of chemical use problems for at least 2 years prior to employment.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Clay County Application must be submitted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative leadership for the Withdrawal Management Program.
  • Collaborate with the Public Health Director on strategic planning, policy development, and operational initiatives that support the mission and goals of the Public Health Department.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, employee development, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action in collaboration with the Public Health Director.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes accountability, teamwork, continuous quality improvement, employee development, and exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the RN Supervisor, Medical Director, and clinical leadership to ensure evidence-based practice, safe client care, appropriate admissions and discharges, and compliance with all licensing standards.
  • Represent the Withdrawal Management program with hospitals, behavioral health providers, correctional facilities, law enforcement, emergency medical services, treatment providers, community organizations, county departments, state agencies, and regional partners.
  • Participate as a member of the Public Health leadership team by attending management meetings, contributing to department-wide strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, budget discussions, and organizational decision-making.
  • Participate in Public Health emergency preparedness activities, Incident Command System (ICS) functions, continuity of operations planning, and county emergency response activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
