About The Position

As a Wiring Technician, you will perform point-to-point electrical wiring and assembly of elevator fixture panels by following related electrical CAD schematics. Requirements

  • College Diploma in Electrical or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing preferred
  • Able to understand the role of each Electrical and Electronics components in the overall schema of Control Panel

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical / electromechanical assembly experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the elevator fixture panel function smoothly as per the design of the panel layout.
  • Interpret CAD schematic diagram and understand the circuit’s functionality and troubleshooting the issues.
  • Conduct wiring of connections, terminate as needed for variety of connectors, control systems, electronic circuit boards, Actuators, Sensors and other electrical devices.
  • Inspect fixture panel according to the schematics and instruction, checking the quality of the process.
  • Perform complicated and varied tasks and prioritize work orders to meet production schedule.
  • Check floor stock by monitoring wiring inventory.
  • Inspect assemblies visually with applicable measuring devices and identify non-conformances as applicable.
  • Follow quality control processes and complete inspection documentation as required.
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Complete shop records accurately and on time.
  • Manage medium to heavy materials, tact and judgement.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
