About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a Wiring Technician (CEB) for the 1st shift. This role involves performing point-to-point wiring of control enclosures, panels, and backplanes according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions. The technician will also be responsible for cable routing and termination, blueprint interpretation, quality assurance, basic testing and troubleshooting, material handling, documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and work instructions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not provided.

  • Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform point-to-point wiring of control enclosures, panels, and backplanes according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Route, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables while ensuring proper labeling and identification.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials to accurately complete assemblies.
  • Inspect completed work to verify proper connections, wire routing, and compliance with quality and workmanship standards.
  • Perform continuity checks and basic functional testing; identify and correct wiring issues or discrepancies.
  • Gather required materials, components, and tools; ensure correct parts are used for each build.
  • Complete production documentation, checklists, and quality records accurately and on time.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
