About The Position

The Wiring Assembler is responsible for independently terminating, assembling, and testing wire harnesses to standard. The role uses production systems, technical documents, terminal machines, tooling, and related equipment to complete wiring work safely, accurately, and within expected time requirements. The assembler also maintains a clean work environment and models team-member behaviors and Henny Penny core values.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
1–3 years of wiring experience.
Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Excellent vision, including the ability to distinguish all colors, intricate details, and small print.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
Knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to understand manufacturing processes and tools such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, and method sheets.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic computer skills.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check; motor vehicle screening applies if applicable.

Responsibilities

Understand and correctly use all functions within JDE programming.
Utilize and maintain drawings, method sheets, and operating instructions.
Operate and maintain terminal machines (presses).
Operate associated handheld and machine-automated tooling.
Assemble wire harnesses and identify correct wire connectors.
Use air guns, amp machines, a string-tie machine, and soldering equipment.
Consistently follow safety procedures.
Follow scrapping guidelines.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Complete required work within expected time requirements and to excellent quality standards.
