About The Position

The Entry Wiring Assembler role is responsible for independently terminating, assembling and testing wire harnesses to standard. This role requires understanding how to correctly use all functions within the JDE programing, utilizing and maintaining Drawings, Method Sheets and Operating Instructions. The assembler will operate and maintain all terminal machines (Presses) and associated tooling (hand held and machine automated). They will assemble wire harnesses, identify correct wire connectors, use air guns, amp machines, string-tie machine and solders. Consistency in practicing all safety procedures, understanding and following scrapping guidelines, and maintaining a clean work environment are essential. The role also involves completing all required work within expected time requirements with excellent quality, and modeling Team Member Expected Behaviors and Henny Penny core values. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1-3 years of wiring experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent vision (ability to distinguish all colors, intricate details and small print).
  • Good hand-eye coordination (Manual Dexterity).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable).
