About The Position

Our team serves as the repair hub for all global Wireline technologies, providing a high level of service for the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of innovative equipment. As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining tractor operations professionally to ensure optimal utilization of equipment resources, with health, safety, and environment as paramount objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 months in FSI role.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years directly related experience.
  • Clean class 5 Driver’s License. No demerits.
  • Basic level computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Baker Hughes minimum HSE course requirements.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and set own priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player, good interpersonal skills.
  • Pride in the ownership of the finished work.
  • Accepts responsibility.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Must have current work authorization in the country of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Being familiar with Hepta & VPMs Operations.
  • Having good knowledge of 318 tractor break down.
  • Being exposure to with 218, 434 Tractor.
  • Being experience with wireline/tractor operations.
  • Understanding of explosives safety IRP’s.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and organizing the performance of service, tools, and equipment required for the job.
  • Checking the quality of data acquisition.
  • Isolating the location of tool or equipment failures and directing remedial action to ensure continued operation of service.
  • Understanding electronics and troubleshooting required tools in the field with assistance.
  • Ensuring results are complete.
  • Participating in client relations and observing safe work practices.
  • Receiving, controlling, and preparing necessary equipment for tractor operation according to procedures.
  • Assisting the operating company's representative in relation to the operations.
  • Being responsible for the execution of a safe tractor operation according to Baker Operational Procedures.
  • Being responsible for finalizing the package report after the job has been completed.
  • Being responsible for complying with HSE safety requirements.
  • Being responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of tools, truck, and equipment in a professional manner according to the required checklist.
  • Packing, labeling, and reporting shipment according to procedures.
  • Reporting non-conformities in HSE, equipment, and undesired incidents to the Operation Manager.
  • Reporting relevant and necessary data for maintenance, statistics, and experience data according to internal procedures.
  • Participating in professionally-directed training as instructed by the company and contractors.
  • Participating in relevant project work/meetings/courses as required.
  • Getting acquainted with permanent base employees' responsibilities.
  • Following Altus safety rules.
  • Reporting status on performed work to the relevant work Supervisor/Manager.
  • Taking personal responsibility for HSE and Quality.
  • Being familiar with Hepta & VPMs Operations.
  • Having good knowledge of 318 tractor breakdown.
  • Being exposed to 218, 434 Tractor.
  • Being experienced with wireline/tractor operations.
  • Understanding of explosives safety IRP’s.
