About The Position

WidePoint Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Wireline Telecom Financial Analyst to join their team in Columbus, OH. This role operates within a fast-paced, demanding environment typical of a micro-cap publicly-traded company. The Analyst will perform audits of financial and information systems, focusing on compliance with standards, internal controls, invoice and contract auditing to ensure correct billing rates and maximize contract incentives, and inventory management to validate telecom assets, services, and records for accuracy and alignment with financial and contractual documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent on job experience.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting, reporting, and accounting software.
• Knowledge of information systems security.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Wireline Telecommunication billing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audits WidePoint's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency.
• Audits WidePoint's information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
• Audits invoices and contracts to ensure the correct rate is billed and all applicable contract incentives are obtained.
• Maintains and audits wireline telecom inventory records, validating circuits, services, assets, and associated documentation to ensure inventory accuracy and alignment with financial records, contracts, and customer requirements.
• Reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.
• Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
