About The Position

The P&A Wireline Operator (Cased-Hole) executes wireline operations in support of Plug & Abandonment operations, including rigging up/down wireline and pressure-control equipment, assisting with shop and field operations, and leading wireline activities at the wellsite. This position operates and maintains assigned wireline trucks and equipment, completes daily tickets, and maintains accurate operational records. This is a labor-intensive field operations role within the Wireline division that requires safe equipment operation, regulatory compliance, customer-site professionalism, and consistent adherence to company safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess a Class B CDL; Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check requirements.
  • Wireline experience required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% based on operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to run a cement bond log is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, assembles, secures, disconnects, and disassembles wireline and pressure-control equipment during rig-up and rig-down activities in accordance with original equipment manufacturer standards, including verification of applicable certifications.
  • Maintains working knowledge and demonstrated ability to run and operate perforating guns, set CIBPs, and cut tubing and casing; ability to run a cement bond log is preferred but not required.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Perform shipping, loading, and unloading duties as needed.
  • Follow standard shipping practices and procedures, including applicable FMCSA compliance, transportation routing, and scheduling requirements.
  • Validates and documents the identity and quantity of all equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot wireline trucks and equipment, including diagnostics, and maintain records related to equipment operation.
  • Drive company vehicles and equipment, including wireline trucks, cranes, pickup trucks, and pickup trucks with trailers.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations.
  • Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment; troubleshoot tool, equipment, and truck issues; and restore tools in the shop and field.
  • Provides support to crew members during on-location and off-location operations and communicates equipment failures or service issues to technicians and appropriate leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
