E-Space is seeking a Wireless Test and Automation Engineer to validate next-generation 5G communications systems for its satellite constellation and ground infrastructure. The engineer will own the test environment and strategy for 3GPP-based wireless features, focusing on PHY and protocol stack verification. The role involves developing automated test suites, analyzing logs and packet captures, working with software, systems, and RF engineers to resolve issues, and supporting reliable deployments for space and ground products. The position is based in E-Space’s Arlington, Texas office. The role includes setting up and maintaining lab and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) wireless test automation, designing and implementing 5G NR test cases, automating test execution and analysis, performing regression testing, and investigating failures across L1, L2, and L3. The engineer will use wireless measurement and channel-emulation equipment, manage defects through an issue-tracking system, prepare test reports, maintain test repositories, improve test coverage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate testability into new features. This is a full-time, exempt position. The role may occasionally require extended hours or weekend work during critical periods. E-Space describes its environment as fast-paced and high-impact, and offers opportunities for professional growth and development and the chance to contribute to its mission and sustainability focus. Compensation will depend on relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
