About The Position

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY. The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $140000.00/yr. This is a Direct Placement role. Benefits are with the end client. This is a fully onsite position in New York,NY. This position is anticipated to close on May 27, 2026.

Requirements

  • Cisco Wireless Engineering (6+ Years – SME Level)
  • Deep expertise in enterprise Cisco WLAN environments, including full lifecycle design, implementation, and support.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco 9800 series Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), AirOS, and Catalyst controllers.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and optimization of wireless performance, RF tuning, and high-density environments.
  • Strong experience with Cisco Prime and Catalyst Center (DNAC) for monitoring, management, and automation.
  • Proven experience conducting wireless site surveys, design, and validation using Ekahau.
  • Expertise in planning and optimizing wireless coverage for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong coordination experience with WAP deployments, including configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco access points (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7).
  • Ability to produce detailed documentation and wireless environment reports.
  • Solid foundation in Cisco routing and switching (VLANs, TCP/IP, Layer 2/3 troubleshooting).
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments and assisting with escalated issues.
  • Capability to collaborate with network teams on troubleshooting and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on stability, reliability, and performance
