About The Position

Skydio is seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to support its Wireless Engineering team with design validation and data analysis. The role focuses on building scalable data-processing pipelines and tools for analyzing wireless validation data from bench testing and factory testing environments. The intern will work with RF and antenna engineers to improve the collection, processing, and visualization of wireless performance data, helping accelerate product development and manufacturing readiness. The work combines wireless systems with cloud-based data engineering.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (as an upcoming junior or senior), master's degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Strong fundamentals in wireless systems, RF engineering, or antenna theory.
Proficiency in cloud-based development and data processing, such as Python, data pipelines, scripting, and APIs.
Experience working with large datasets and building scalable analysis tools.
Comfort working in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced setting.

Familiarity with data visualization tools or frameworks.

Responsibilities

Develop automated data-processing pipelines to analyze RF and antenna validation data from lab bench testing.
Build cloud-based tools and dashboards for factory test data ingestion, processing, and visualization.
Improve data quality checks and validation frameworks to ensure reliable wireless performance metrics.
Work with RF engineers to translate test requirements into scalable analysis workflows.
Optimize existing scripts and infrastructure to improve the efficiency and reproducibility of wireless performance analysis.
Contribute to documentation and best practices for wireless data management across development and manufacturing.
