About The Position

The Wire Technician II performs complex electrical wiring and assembly activities across the Medium Voltage Control Assembly (MVCA) product line. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and documentation requirements while supporting production through troubleshooting, inspections, rework activities, and employee training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of MVCA wiring experience required.
  • Level 4 Wiring Certification required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and routing maps.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical components and assemblies.
  • Proficiency in Burndy terminations, crimping tools, and related wiring equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to train and support other employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex electrical wiring on MVCA products, including buckets, doors, cell wiring, main breakers, interconnects, final wiring, final rework, and medium-voltage drive mechanical assemblies.
  • Create Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and maintain shortage documentation and records.
  • Conduct quality checks and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Complete ignition and testing-related tasks as required.
  • Apply labels and verify proper torque values according to specifications.
  • Calculate wire lengths and routing requirements to support assembly activities.
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and support corrective actions and rework efforts.
  • Train and mentor new employees on wiring processes, tools, quality requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
