About The Position
The Wire Rigging 1 role is designed to manufacture wire rope and chain slings. This job requires a commitment to safety, quality, and concern for the customer’s needs in accordance with all company and ISO 9001 standards.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Properly job in and job out of work orders for job tracking.
- Stage materials for building rigging.
- Manufacture Soft Eye and Hard Eye wire rope slings, assemble wire rope and chain slings and multi leg slings, in accordance with all production standards.
- Clearly communicate with the rest of the rigging team when working with overhead crane and forklifts, and when working with heavy loads, to ensure safety of workers, material, and equipment.
- Inspect slings for defect or deviation per Quality Control standards.
- Identify and report non-conformities, contributing to corrective and preventive actions as part of continual improvement.
- Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
- Print tags and attach to slings.
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
- Keep focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.
- Compliance with all company policies, including Drug-free workplace.
