About The Position

This role is part of our Tactical Missiles and Integrated Defense Systems business, which designs and develops integrated missile and defense systems that support critical missions across air, land, and sea. We combine comprehensive analysis, engineering, and program execution capabilities to deliver mission-tailored solutions that reduce lead times, lower costs, and simplify complex multi-vendor supply chains. Backed by decades of flight-proven and fielded performance, we design and build mission-critical technologies including launch systems, propulsion, payload integration solutions, UAV components, missile subsystems, and Safe & Arm systems. As a Wire Harness Technician, you will support the fabrication, assembly, testing, and production of electro-mechanical components used in aerospace and defense applications. You will perform hands-on wire harness fabrication, electrical assembly, connector installation, soldering, testing, and related electro-mechanical production activities. We are hiring across multiple experience levels, from Level I through Senior, with placement based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform detailed hands-on assembly work.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, bills of materials, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and related production documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on technical and production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Familiarity with Military/DoD or Research & Development environments.
  • Experience soldering to J-STD-001.
  • Experience operating standard electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, meters, and frequency generators.
  • Experience with test data acquisition and instrumentation.
  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with common office applications.
  • Previous aerospace and defense manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates wire harnesses using wire splicing, crimping, connector installation, and soldering across a variety of connectors and cable types.
  • Performs potting and encapsulation of connectors and electronics.
  • Reads, understands, and follows engineering assembly drawings, bills of materials, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
  • Performs electrical and electro-mechanical assembly activities in support of production requirements.
  • Assembles and tests mechanical and electro-mechanical systems using standard electronic test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots assembly issues based on experience and technical capability.
  • Supports circuit board component installation and other electro-mechanical fabrication activities.
  • Observes and follows established safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Works effectively with engineers, technicians, and production personnel in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Supports a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
