About The Position

The Out of Production (OoP) Electrical Design Engineering (DE) team at Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is seeking an experienced, senior, or principal Wire Design Engineer in Seal Beach, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of the Out of Production (OoP) fleet by providing exceptional compliance and technical support. The team drives initiatives like the Continued Operational Safety Program (COSP) and addresses Safety Related Problems (SRP). This position may involve some travel to engage directly with the fleet and maintain high standards of safety and performance. Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.

Nice To Haves

10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in the aerospace industry.
Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of CATIA V5, CADDS, WIRS.

Responsibilities

Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
Develops basic work statements for new designs.
Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.
Generate and maintain wire diagrams for released designs.
Work under general direction of lead engineer and an experienced mentor to enhance both technical learning and career growth.
