About The Position

CRV Electronics Corporation is seeking a Wire Cutter to use wire cutting machines to cut and strip wire and cable for assemblies. This role involves machine setup, operation, and general maintenance. The position may also involve using manual tools for cutting and stripping wire and cable. The Wire Cutter works under the direct supervision of the Wire Processing Line Lead.

Requirements

• High school education or relevant work experience required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English required.
• Mechanical skills/knowledge and machine operation experience required.
• Ability to convert between fractions and decimal equivalents.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64 of one inch.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of wire cutting machine operation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify proper specifications from cut sheets and job orders.
• Manually and digitally set up wire cutting machines to job specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of wire cutting machines for proper setup and operation.
• Inspect products to ensure they are within specifications.
• Minimize scrap through proper operation, maintenance, and set up of machines.
• Communicate problems with machine operation and set up to supervisor.
• Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Stripe wire using wire striping machine.
