About The Position

This is a 2nd shift position for a Wire Cutter Associate. The role involves overseeing the cutting of wire and cable using machines, ensuring accuracy of cuts, and bundling wires and cables according to job orders. The associate will work with installation teams to provide them with the correct wires for assembly. Duties may also include unloading and loading materials, moving waste or materials, and verifying equipment functionality. The company is a full-service, wholesale distributor of electrical, Lighting, Plumbing, HVAC, Power and Hand Tools with over 50 years of experience.

Requirements

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Wire and warehouse settings.
Must be able to communicate (both verbal and written) at all levels within the organization.
Must be organized and have excellent filing / record-keeping skills.
Must be comfortable working in various plant level environments.
Must be self-motivated.
Final candidates will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Oversee cutting wire and cable with the use of machines.
Ensure the accuracy of the cuts.
Measure and bundle wires and cables appropriately for the job orders.
Work with the installation teams to make sure they get the proper wires for assembly.
Unload and load materials.
Move waste or materials to the proper locations.
Verify all the equipment is working properly.
Package product and ensure accuracy of the material being prepared and delivered.
Coordinate communications with Inventory, Operations (Production), Purchasing, Scheduling, Accounting, and Program Management.
Maintain work environment with respect to safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.
Maintain departmental working relationships to achieve total performance requirements.
Interpret customer supplied documentation such as auditing materials.
Complete assignments, projects, and other related duties as required by management.
