About The Position

The Wire and CNC Technician is responsible for using appropriate software to create/modify programs, set up tooling, and operate various CNC equipment. This role involves working from drawings, engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications, and ensuring product quality meets requirements. The technician will also train operators on basic functions, uphold business certifications and quality standards, and follow all procedures and work instructions.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
1 year experience programming CNC machinery, 3 years preferred
Ability to interpret dimensional drawings
CAD experience required
Good oral and written communication skills
Basic to advanced math skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to perform under pressure
Ability to develop an understanding of Indium Corporation products and services
Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

Nice To Haves

Tooling Journeyworker Card preferred
CAM experience preferred

Responsibilities

Set-up, program and operate CNC machine and EDM machines
Read and work from drawings, engineering plans, blueprints and specifications
Train operators on basis function in order to complete production jobs
Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with them
Follow procedures and work instructions
Complete required documentation
Follow a schedule and complete assignments on time
Perform inspections to ensure product meets requirements
Resolve or escalate problems and recommend process improvements
Maintain a clean work area and machines
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
