The Work-In-Process (WIP) Quality Inspector ensures that products, components, and manufacturing processes meet company quality standards throughout production. The role performs product inspections and process audits across Final Assembly, Glass Fabrication, Metal Finishing, and Silk-Screening operations. It verifies workmanship, cosmetic appearance, component installation, assembly accuracy, and adherence to standardized work, identifying defects and process deviations before products advance to subsequent manufacturing stages. The position reports directly to the Quality Manager and works throughout the manufacturing floor in a high-mix, low-volume environment producing luxury audio products. The inspector carries out in-process inspections, documents results, maintains quality records, identifies and reports non-conforming materials and products, and collaborates with production teams to address quality concerns. The role also supports root-cause investigations, corrective actions, quality improvements, and compliance with quality management system requirements. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, assembly, or a related production environment. The inspector must be detail-oriented, able to interpret work instructions and manufacturing documentation, have basic computer skills, and communicate and collaborate effectively. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, moving among production departments, detailed visual inspection, distinguishing cosmetic defects, and occasionally lifting and carrying materials or products under plant safety requirements.
