About The Position

The Township of Warwick is seeking up to three part-time Winter Parks and Recreation Labourers to work from August to April annually. This role is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the East Lambton Community Complex and the Warwick Community Hall. The position involves maintaining, cleaning, and operating all equipment at these facilities, including the Ice Re-surfacer. This is a front-facing role that requires direct interaction with the general public and provides support for community event set-ups. Successful candidates will work between 16 and 35 hours per week and must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G or G2) preferred
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Interpersonal and communication skills working with the public
  • Available to work days, weekends and weeknights.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a Refrigeration Course or a relevant equivalent is an asset
  • One to two years’ experience working in an arena environment is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices and their application in the workplace will be considered an asset

Responsibilities
