About The Position

The Gloucester Terminals Winter Internship Program offers students hands-on, terminal-specific experience in the Quality, Regulation, and Compliance Division within the Safety Department. Interns will support day-to-day operations, contribute to real projects, and gain practical experience in a professional marine terminal environment. This is a paid, full-time winter internship designed to provide meaningful work experience and exposure to terminal operations, safety, quality, regulatory, and compliance functions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university or relevant training program
• Interest in gaining professional experience in marine terminal operations, safety, quality, regulation, or compliance
• Strong communication and basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and accept feedback
• Dependable and professional work ethic
• Field of study may vary based on the internship assignment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily activities and ongoing projects within the Quality, Regulation, and Compliance Division
• Assisting with research, reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks
• Supporting safety, quality, regulatory, and compliance initiatives within terminal operations
• Collaborating with team members to meet project goals and deadlines
• Participating in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
• Applying academic knowledge to real-world marine terminal and business challenges
• Maintaining professionalism, organization, safety awareness, and accountability in assigned work
