About The Position

Ajax Turner Company, Inc. is Tennessee's largest beer distributor with its operation located in LaVergne. The company has been in operation for over 50 years and is family owned and operated. The Company distributes a variety of products including Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, Heineken, and Sparkling Ice products, among many others. Apply online at www.ajaxturner.com. SCHEDULE: No Weekends! Home Each Day! Start at approximately 5AM - until completion of route--there is no set off time. 40-50 hour average work week. PAY RANGE: $51,000- $55,000 NOTE: We currently have routes available so you could be looking at having your own assigned route in just a matter of weeks!

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license with "F" endorsement required.
  • Excellent driving record with less than 8 points on record in the last 3 years.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong sales and customer service attitude and aptitude.
  • Must have a strong safety-oriented mindset.
  • Capable of consistently being able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to effectively and safely operate a pallet jack, hand truck, and other similar types of work related equipment.
  • Friendly, courteous, works well with others, and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software applications.
  • Has a strong commitment to customer service with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work well independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Beverage delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely driving a commercial delivery box truck to deliver product to assigned retail accounts.
  • Delivering products in a safe and timely manner to all customers, following an assigned daily route.
  • Following company policy to verify and properly account for all product on truck and delivered to retail accounts.
  • Rotate all beer and non alcoholic products, stock shelves, report out of stocks, organize back stock and issue credits as directed.
  • Managing all retail delivery invoices, collecting customer payments, and submitting to accounting daily.
  • Working in tandem with Sales Reps and store personnel to maximize sales and display opportunities.
  • Ensuring loads are built and loaded in truck accurately, reporting any loading errors for correction prior to departure.
  • Complying with all ATCO job processes, work rules, legal guidelines, and instructions as they apply to your position.
