About The Position

This part-time role as a Wine and Spirits Clerk/Cashier places you at the heart of the guest experience, assisting customers in finding the perfect beverage for any occasion. You will work closely with team leaders to ensure the department runs smoothly, providing friendly and knowledgeable service. The position requires you to be at least 21 years of age to sample products.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age in order to sample products sold in the wine and spirits department.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises.
• Requires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: hand jack, baler, forklift, pallet jack, trash compactor, proper lifting techniques, and proper scanning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Help guests find what they’re looking for, offer recommendations, and take special orders.
• Answer questions, resolve concerns, and ensure every guest leaves feeling supported.
• Work alongside associates and leadership to meet department goals and maintain high standards.
• Maintain inventory levels, ensure accurate pricing, and keep shelves stocked and organized.
• Check out purchases with accuracy and a smile.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
• Work with vendors, managers, and fellow associates to exceed expectations.
• Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Other duties as assigned.
