About The Position

The Wine & Beer Team Member is responsible for delivering outstanding Customer Service while supporting all daily operations within the department. This role ensures shelves, coolers, and displays are fully stocked, properly rotated, and merchandised to Plum Market’s standards. The Team Member engages Customers with product knowledge, assists with receiving and stocking, and contributes to a clean, organized, and service-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for wine and beer, and a desire to learn more.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-directed with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional Customer Service through friendly, informed, and helpful interactions.
  • Stock and rotate product in all wine and beer displays, coolers, and end caps.
  • Maintain backstock organization and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate signage, pricing, and promotional display execution.
  • Build, face, and maintain compelling displays that align with department goals.
  • Assist with inventory counts and communicate low or out-of-stock items to the Buyer or leadership team.
  • Support fellow Team Members by collaborating on tasks and sharing product knowledge.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department, including shelves, floors, and storage areas.
  • Follow all Plum Market policies, procedures, and safety standards.
