About The Position

Suburban Ford of Romeo is seeking an experienced Windshield / Auto Glass Technician to join their growing team. This position plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality repairs and installations while providing world-class customer service to our valued customers. Requirements

  • 2+ year of automotive glass installation experience
  • 2+ year of automotive window tinting experience
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass an MVR check
  • Proficiency working with multiple types of automotive glass
  • Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and work ethic
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Comfortable with the physical demands of the job
  • High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or formal training in automotive window tinting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install windshields and automotive glass in the shop and through a mobile service unit.
  • Repair rock chips and other minor glass damage.
  • Perform automotive window tint installations, including side windows, rear glass, and windshields (where permitted).
  • Prepare glass surfaces by thoroughly cleaning and removing contaminants prior to glass or tint installation.
  • Remove and replace existing glass or window tint when required.
  • Cut, shape, and apply window tint film using proper tools and techniques to ensure a high-quality, bubble-free finish.
  • Calibrate advanced vehicle electronics and safety systems, including ADAS, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and similar technologies.
  • Ensure all glass and tint work meets dealership quality standards and state/local regulations.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, adhesion, and appearance.
  • Process payments from mobile service customers (if applicable).
  • Interact professionally with customers to explain services, care instructions, and answer questions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, clean work area, and positive attitude.
  • Deliver World Class customer service to customers and vendors at all times.
