The Windows Systems Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, supporting, and deploying Windows operating systems, as well as ensuring their security and performance. This role involves working with both physical and virtual servers, and responsibilities include tasks like virus updates, patches, and performance tuning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or other IT-related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 15+ years of related experience
  • Experience with Windows systems engineering and administration
  • MSSQL databases
  • Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS)
  • VM clusters
  • Hyper-V
  • Data Protection Manager
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022).
  • Windows desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
  • Microsoft Group Policy Management (for managing settings across multiple machines).
  • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) (for managing updates).
  • Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring, supporting, and deploying Windows operating systems
  • Ensuring the security and performance of Windows operating systems
  • Working with both physical and virtual servers
  • Performing tasks such as virus updates, patches, and performance tuning
  • Demonstrated experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes to accredit security-controlled systems.
