About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Windows Systems Administration professional with a SECRET Clearance to join their team in Newport News, Virginia. This role involves maintaining, upgrading, and supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise workstations. The position also includes supporting VDI environments, implementing security measures, providing technical support, optimizing system performance, and maintaining documentation. The work environment is described as an industrial shipyard.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows system administration.
Minimum 2 years of experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
CompTIA Security +, equivalent or higher.
Operating Systems certification within 90 days of start.
Active DOD Secret (SSBI) T5 clearance eligible.

Undergraduate/bachelors degree
Experience with Horizon View is preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain, upgrade, and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise workstations.
Support VDI environments, manage virtual desktop configurations, and ensure seamless end-user experience.
Implement system hardening, patch management, and access controls per organizational standards.
Provide Tier 2/3 technical support, diagnosing and resolving system/network issues efficiently.
Monitor system health, implement automation, and fine-tune configurations to improve operational efficiency.
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system changes.
