About The Position

SWC is seeking a dedicated and experienced window cleaning operative to perform window cleaning tasks. This role involves various access methods, including using Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) or Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) (training provided), as well as Water-Fed Poles and traditional methods. The operative will be responsible for carrying out scheduled tasks safely and efficiently, using specialized equipment and techniques to remove dirt, stains, and allergens. The role also includes periodic deep cleaning, responding to specialized cleaning requests, and being available for emergency callouts. Compliance with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH is essential. The role requires reporting customer complaints/compliments, identifying and reporting health and safety hazards, and reporting any incidents or irregularities to management.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Experience in window cleaning.
• Experience in working at heights and high buildings.
• Ability to work well on your own, be self-sufficient and motivated.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and following instructions.
• Professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out window cleaning tasks using various access requirements such as BMU, MEWP, Water-Fed Poles, and traditional methods.
• Perform scheduled works in a timely and safe manner as directed by the supervisor or line manager.
• Use specialized equipment and techniques to effectively remove dirt, stains, and allergens.
• Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks as per client requests.
• Respond to various specialized cleaning requests, adapting techniques and equipment as needed.
• Be available for emergency callouts and respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs.
• Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
• Follow client/company guidelines regarding the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards.
• Report any customer complaints or compliments and take remedial action if possible.
• Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage or other irregularities to the Line Manager/supervisor.
