About The Position

A Service Technician, or skilled service worker, is responsible for providing technical repair and service of our product. The scope of their responsibilities may include installation, maintenance, and overall service of our windows and doors. Their responsibilities include diagnostic review, repair, and replacement of parts as well as the replacement and installation of our product. This role involves conducting on-site service calls to customers' homes to assess and address issues with windows, doors, or related products. The technician will have direct interaction with customers to understand their concerns, explain service procedures, and address any questions they may have. The position requires traveling to various locations within a designated service area to perform service tasks, engaging in hands-on work such as repairs, adjustments, and replacements of window and door components. Regular use of technology, including CRM systems and communication tools, is necessary to manage and track customer interactions. The technician will utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, and will be responsible for educating customers on proper maintenance, care, and use of windows and doors. Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct while interacting with customers and representing the company is also essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years in home remodeling
  • Punctuality is critical
  • Window and Door maintenance preferable
  • Working an iPad
  • Have Rforce experience
  • Comfortable checking and responding to emails
  • Experience in a finish carpentry industry
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing
  • Clean driving record
  • Maintain vehicle registration
  • Monitor service vehicle and make sure to keep it clean
  • Highly organized with the ability to reflect empathy to customers
  • Ability to install a window or door from start to finish, including trim work
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Suite products
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Window and Door maintenance preferable
  • Lead Safe Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions based on job site evaluations for windows and doors that need service attention
  • Understand correct installation process and proper functioning of windows and doors for evaluation
  • Provide a good customer experience
  • Promote the RbA Culture of “Let's be great together” with every interaction
  • Perform services on all windows and doors whether it be due to installation or manufacturing
  • Perform assessments of window/door issues and potential installation issues
  • Conduct on-site service calls to customers' homes to assess and address issues with windows, doors, or related products
  • Interact directly with customers to understand their concerns, explain service procedures, and address any questions they may have
  • Travel to various locations within a designated service area to perform service tasks
  • Perform hands-on tasks such as repairs, adjustments, and replacements of window and door components to meet quality standards
  • Use technology, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems, communication tools, and other software to manage and track customer interactions
  • Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to perform service tasks, including hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
  • Educate customers on proper maintenance, care, and use of windows and doors to prevent future issues
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while interacting with customers and representing the company
