About The Position

JELD-WEN is seeking a Window and Door Repair Technician to join their growing team. This role involves providing warranty service for installed windows and doors. The technician will be responsible for conducting service work on various products, accurately inspecting JELD-WEN window and door products to find the root cause of service issues, and completing daily assigned warranty field service tasks. This includes taking quality photos and reporting accurate product and construction issues. The technician will also maintain tools and service vehicles, operate company service vehicles safely, and become familiar with all JELD-WEN products in their coverage region. The position requires adherence to JELD-WEN policies and procedures, operating safely, professionally, and efficiently. There is a requirement for weekly travel with some overnight stays and overtime, along with flexible working hours. Possible overnight travel is up to 50%.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
High School Diploma or HSED.
Must have a solid safety awareness propensity.
Must have carpentry skills and use hand and power tools and measuring devices.
The ability to lift 70 lbs., climb, lift, pull, and safely perform tasks on a ladder, scaffolding, or other raised devices.
Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices.
Strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
Be dependable, self-motivator, the ability to problem-solve, and contribute to building a positive team environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in construction or a similar environment is preferred.
Field service technician experience, or experience in the construction trades is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide warranty service for installed windows and doors.
