About The Position

This role involves performing winder and welding operations on Spartan Tool sewer cable and other assemblies using mig welding processes. The position requires setting up and operating wire winding machines to produce various diameters of sewer-cleaning cable, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment use and product labeling. The job also includes using common tools such as chop saws, grinders, die grinders, and other hand tools. Responsibilities also extend to reporting unusual conditions or defective materials to the Team Lead, observing all safety regulations, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of welding and ability to discern between good/bad weld is required.
  • Working knowledge from experience using hand tools such as die grinder, hand grinder, hammer, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Capability of standing all day, twisting or bending regularly, and lifting up to 50 pounds, unassisted, regularly
  • The ability to retain knowledge and the desire to learn
  • Experience using hand tools such as die grinder, hand grinder, hammer, etc.
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for recording production data.
  • Commitment to quality, safety standards, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
  • Proven positive attendance record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous industrial manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • Technical certification in manufacturing, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform winder and welding operations on Spartan Tool sewer cable and other assemblies using mig welding processes and other equipment.
  • Regulate current, voltage, and wire feed to obtain proper fusion.
  • Use go/no-go gauges to check welds for proper size.
  • Set up and operate wire winding machines to produce various diameter of sewer-cleaning cable.
  • Follow SOP for proper equipment use and labeling of product.
  • Use common tools such as chop saws, grinders, die grinders and various other hand tools.
  • Report all unusual conditions or defective materials to your Team Lead.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Observe all safety regulations.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
