Wind Turbine Technician - Tech One Program

Sky Climber Renewables•Tehachapi, CA

About The Position

The Tech One Program (TOP) is a structured career development program for entry-level wind technicians, created through a partnership between Sky Climber Renewables and Vestas Americas. Wind Service Technicians receive Global Wind Organization (GWO)-accredited safety and technical training and primarily work at a wind site near home as part of a service team, helping ensure safe and efficient wind turbine maintenance. Technicians perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbine generator equipment, including machinery and components used in power generation. Work inside a cabinet or controller is not permitted without direct supervision from a certified Electrical Technician. Additional duties may be assigned to support customer needs and Sky Climber’s mission, values, and long-term vision. This is a full-time paid opportunity with training provided upon hire. Training includes basic safety (such as First Aid, CPR, and fall protection), tower safety (such as high-angle or wind tower rescue), and technical training in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The position reports directly to the Program Manager and Site Manager, and indirectly to the Lead Technician during assignments.
