About The Position

Sentry Electrical Group is a specialty contractor exclusively serving the renewable energy industry, focusing on wind and solar installations nationwide. For wind projects, our teams travel to sites to install tower wiring for new turbines and repower projects. We are on-site during the construction phase, fitting out towers, installing and connecting wiring systems, and preparing turbines for operation. This role involves hands-on, physical work, long days, and a strong team environment.

Requirements

  • Be comfortable climbing stairs and ladders inside towers to heights of 200–400 ft
  • Be comfortable working in confined spaces and at height for extended periods
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding conditions throughout the day
  • Work on active job sites in variable conditions, including some outdoor work
  • Follow directions precisely and execute tasks with strong attention to detail
  • Use close-range radios and communicate clearly with your crew
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools (training provided)
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a passport (travel required)
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Read, write, and communicate in English

  • Background in trades
  • Experience in cell tower, telecom, or communications work
  • Experience in any trade field involving hand tools, physical labor, and structured site work
  • Experience in farming, ranching, or agricultural work
  • Military or other structured, team-oriented environments

Responsibilities

  • Climbing inside wind turbine towers (heights up to 300+ ft) to carry out wiring installation tasks
  • Running, routing, and securing cables and wiring inside the tower per installation plans
  • Connecting and terminating wires at designated points using hand and power tools
  • Installing conduit, grounding systems, and related hardware at the tower foundation
  • Supporting repower projects — installing new wiring systems in existing turbines
  • Following detailed written and verbal instructions and adhering to safety procedures at all times
  • Collaborating closely with your crew and lead technician to hit daily installation milestones
  • Traveling to project sites across the U.S.; overtime and variable schedules are a normal part of this role
