About The Position

As our Winch Truck Driver, your mission is to safely operate a winch truck to transport, load, unload, and position frac tanks and related rental equipment. This specialized driving role requires proven winch experience, strong judgment, and disciplined safety practices in industrial environments. You will be responsible for winch truck operations, including loading and unloading frac tanks, inspecting work areas and equipment, and ensuring securement before travel. You will also complete deliveries, pickups, and branch transfers according to dispatch instructions, navigating various industrial sites with continuous awareness of your surroundings. Maintaining the assigned truck and winch equipment, reporting defects immediately, and following all safety requirements are also key aspects of this role. You will represent the company professionally and protect customer property and company assets.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required.
  • Previous winch truck experience required.
  • TWIC card required where assigned or ability to obtain.
  • Demonstrated winch operation, specialized loading, positioning, and vehicle-control skills.
  • Clean, acceptable driving record and ability to meet site-access requirements.
  • Strong judgment, situational awareness, and safety discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the winch, cable, controls, and related equipment to load, unload, and position frac tanks safely.
  • Inspect the work area, equipment condition, ground conditions, and clearances before beginning movement.
  • Verify tank locks, lights, hookups, and securement before travel.
  • Complete deliveries, pickups, and branch transfers according to dispatch instructions.
  • Navigate refineries, plants, jobsites, and customer locations with continuous awareness of surroundings.
  • Communicate unsafe conditions, access issues, or schedule changes promptly.
  • Complete required pre-trip, post-trip, DOT, delivery, and equipment inspections.
  • Maintain the assigned truck, winch equipment, and tools and report defects immediately.
  • Follow DOT, customer-site, refinery, and company safety requirements.
  • Represent NTE professionally and protect customer property and company assets.
