About The Position

As a Wildlife Technician at Turner Pest Control, you will help safely remove wildlife and prevent animals from entering homes and businesses. You will inspect properties, identify animal entry points, and make repairs to seal them. This hands-on role uses tools and materials similar to those used in construction and involves climbing ladders, operating power tools, and solving problems in the field. The work aims to protect customers’ properties while treating animals humanely and professionally.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to comply with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints for trapping wildlife.
• Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in regular seasonal weather conditions.
• Basic math skills to measure and mix product applications accurately.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator in some cases.
• Technical proficiency with computers, smartphones, and similar devices.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• Availability for a flexible schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to move around customer locations, climb and descend stairs and ladders, and position oneself to service areas under or around furniture, equipment, and in tight spaces.
• Enthusiasm, dedication, attention to detail, and a customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes and businesses for wildlife activity and potential animal entry points.
• Identify how animals are entering properties and make repairs to seal those entry points.
• Safely remove and prevent wildlife from entering customer properties.
• Trap wildlife using blueprints and applicable guidelines.
• Assist in other service departments within the branch as needed.
