This is a temporary / seasonal position that begins August 1, 2026 , and extends through March 31, 2027 . The candidate requisite Wildlife Technician position requires assisting in managing waterfowl populations on NYC water supply reservoirs in Westchester Co, NY, largely in Valhalla and Yonkers, NY. Primary tasks will include observing and recording waterfowl and gull species data, as well as implementing methods to deter populations from roosting on several New York City reservoirs. Work will be performed outdoors at various locations on and around targeted reservoirs from small boats (18’ center console/jon boat), airboats or 4WD vehicles. Crew members will receive First Aid/CPR/AED and boat operation training, as well as other job-related trainings for safe field work.
