Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
  • Candidates must be able to safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with home repair, construction, roofing, maintenance, or general handyman work is highly valuable, as technicians regularly need to think on their feet and determine the best way to repair, reinforce, or protect a structure from wildlife.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of hands-on home repairs and wildlife exclusion work using common hand and power tools
  • Repair and seal areas of homes and structures damaged by wildlife, including rooflines, vents, siding, fascia, soffits, and other potential entry points
  • Use handyman, construction, and problem-solving skills to develop solutions based on the unique needs of each property
  • Safely, humanely, and effectively manage nuisance wildlife on residential, commercial, and rural properties across Arizona
  • Inspect homes and structures to identify wildlife activity, entry points, damage, and conditions contributing to wildlife problems
  • Perform trapping, removal, exclusion, and other wildlife-management services in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures
  • Work with a wide variety of Arizona wildlife, including raccoons, skunks, bats, snakes, pack rats, pigeons, and other desert-adapted species
  • Install exclusion materials and preventative solutions designed to keep wildlife from re-entering structures
  • Respond to scheduled service calls in urban, rural, and desert environments
  • Educate customers on wildlife behavior, prevention methods, repairs, and long-term solutions
  • Document inspections, findings, repairs, and services performed accurately and thoroughly
  • Communicate professionally with customers while using strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, working on roofs, entering attics and crawl spaces, using tools, lifting materials, and working outdoors in varying conditions
  • Follow safety standards, humane handling practices, and company protocols at all times
  • Participate in training, licensing, and ongoing education related to wildlife control, exclusion, home repair, and local wildlife
