About The Position

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the WIC Benefits Manager with the daily routine operation of WIC client services including scheduling and delivering certification appointments. Responsible to assist WIC Nutritionist /CPA at client certifications with intake and assessments. Responsible for outreach activities including but not limited to ongoing activities at the local health clinic and periodic outreach activities for promotion, retention of clients, and enrolling applicants. This is not a supervisory role.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience in WIC and customer service
  • Experience working with young children and be comfortable working with children
  • Minimal (1 year) clinical experience, e.g., hemoglobin assessment, anthropometric data (heights/weight) assessment
  • Computer experience, Microsoft office, Excel, Publisher, Power point
  • Quickbooks /other bookkeeping software
  • Willingness to be trained in Civil-Rights, customer service and other areas pertinent to job responsibilities, WIC and tribal regulations
  • Valid NM driver's license to meet Santo Domingo Pueblo's liability insurance requirements and maintain eligibility for insurance
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass a background check, MVR check, and a new hire drug screen
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. of boxes/cases/crates

Nice To Haves

  • Training as a WIC Competent Professional Authority (CPA) is optional but recommended
