Marion County Public Health Department is seeking a WIC Nutritionist to determine client eligibility based on identified risk factors and provide nutrition education. The role involves understanding the social, cultural, and religious backgrounds of participants in the WIC Supplemental Food Program as they relate to proper nutrition and breastfeeding. The WIC Nutritionist will utilize federal, state, and divisional guidelines/standards to implement and evaluate client nutrition education plans, adhering to HIPAA and CLIA standards. This position requires effective collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, outside agencies, and MCPHD department professionals for referrals and cooperation. The role also assists in the implementation and evaluation of the nutrition education program within established guidelines.
