Indiana Health Centers, Inc. (IHC) is a mission-driven organization providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to underserved and uninsured populations since 1977. At IHC, a Federally Qualified Health Center, we specialize in integrated care which means having access to essential services to meet the needs of patients we serve in the community. With ten healthcare centers, eight Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program locations, a Mobile Health Unit, and in-house Pharmacy services (select locations), we offer primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to community-based patient populations throughout Indiana that are diverse in age, educational background, and income level. The WIC Program (Women, Infants, and Children) offers services to women who are pregnant and new mothers in their early postpartum period, as well as support services to parents and caregivers of infants, and children to the age of 5. Indiana Health Centers’ WIC staff includes nurses, dieticians, lactation consultants, and nutrition assistants at no cost to those who qualify. IHC Cass County WIC in Logansport is now recruiting for a full-time WIC Competent Professional Authority (WIC Nutritionist) to join our team. IHC welcomes current Registered Dieticians or Nutritionists, BSNs, or deemed WIC Nutritionists-eligible per IDOH to apply for this role. This is a full-time position scheduled 31 hours per week. The WIC Nutritionist completes dietary and health habits assessments and provides education that will promote health in mothers and children. They work with other WIC staff to improve the nutrition and health of WIC clients, their families, and the public at large. The Nutritionist also promotes breastfeeding as the preferred method of infant feeding by both educating and supporting WIC participants, their families, and the public at large.
