About The Position

Join our Software Engineering team to design, develop, and patent groundbreaking wireless connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread. Collaborate cross-functionally to craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services. The Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems team is looking for a software engineer to help ensure quality and stability for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Networking technologies for all iOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS and watchOS platforms. As a Wireless Stability Test Engineer, you will join a dynamic team responsible for the stability of WiFi, Bluetooth and Thread software on Apple products. The successful candidate will be involved in stress and stability testing for WiFi/BT technologies and its features for iPhones/iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TV's, and Mac product lines.

Requirements

• Experience in testing Wireless technologies - WiFi and/or Bluetooth - Functional or Performance or Stability Testing
• Good experience of testing WiFi/BT Chipsets across technologies and devices
• Good Understanding and working knowledge of WiFi and BT protocols preferred
• Preferable to have automation experience in any of the programming languages - C/C++ or scripting skills in python/shell.
• Deep understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
• Good understanding of Operating System concepts
• Experience in developing test strategies and test methodologies and experience in developing automated test cases
• Can clearly communicate and drive projects across many teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Electronics and Communications or equivalent
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and comfortable working with cross-functional teams
• Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
• Strong comfort with ambiguity and ability to self-direct in a fast-moving environment
• Passionate about quality and delivering the best wireless experience to customers

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute software tests to identify and address stability & functional issues ensuring high quality Wireless Software.
• Define and execute test plans to validate Wi-Fi/BT & Thread features of Apple products, ensuring they meet stability requirements.
• Raise issues and follow up with the development team to identify the root cause using Apple internal tools.
• Investigate user/field issues, and perform engineering analysis to understand and add test coverage for reproduction.
• Automate test cases and objective C frameworks to contribute to the test workflow infrastructure.
• Build, configure, and maintain test infrastructure to efficiently assess various iOS, macOS, and watchOS platforms.
• Closely collaborate with software and hardware teams.
