About The Position

Ohio Truck Sales (OTS) is seeking a self-motivated and driven Wholesale Truck Buyer to join their Purchasing Team in Sandusky, Ohio. Founded in 2010, OTS is a semi-truck dealership that buys, reconditions, and sells trucks nationwide. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making deals, building relationships, negotiating, and creating opportunities, with a direct impact on business success and earning potential tied to performance. The Wholesale Truck Buyer will source quality trucks from owner-operators and trucking fleets across the country, developing relationships with sellers, evaluating equipment, negotiating purchases, analyzing market values, and identifying suitable investments for OTS. It's a high-energy, hands-on, performance-driven position with daily variety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in sales, purchasing, business development, BDR/SDR, or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical and confident decision-maker.
• Organized, persistent, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated by goals, performance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Make daily outbound calls and emails to owner-operators and trucking fleets nationwide.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet owners and key decision-makers.
• Identify opportunities, negotiate truck purchases, and close deals.
• Evaluate truck condition, specifications, market value, and estimated refurbishment costs.
• Stay current on truck products, specifications, and market trends.
• Conduct client meetings and communicate confidently with customers and executives.
• Use CRM and other technology to manage opportunities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
